Plumbing And Sprinkler Permits
Plumbing permits and fees are required for all UBC Vancouver projects that will include some type of fixture (e.g. roof drain, floor drain, hot water tank, commercial dishwasher, etc.). Sprinkler Permits are required for all UBC Vancouver projects. Depending on the project, your application may need to include sprinkler plans.

Fire Hydrant Permits
Fire hydrant permits are mandatory in order for the University to meet the requirements of a number of codes and regulations, the most critical being Section 6.6.4 of the British Columbia Fire Code. In order for the University to meet the requirements of several important codes and regulations (e.g. BC Fire Code), a Hydrant Permit is required for temporary use of fire hydrants. Additional fees may apply.

Electrical, Gas and Elevator Permits
Electrical, gas and elevator permits are issued by Technical Safety BC.
