UTown@UBC
UTown@UBC is UBC’s vibrant residential community on campus where over 18,000 students, staff, faculty and other residents live, work and learn together. It’s a collection of eight emerging neighbourhoods, each with their own distinct character, offering a mix of housing options, improved public transportation, shops and services, and access to cultural/recreational amenities in a pedestrian-friendly setting.

Goals + Achievements

Family housing initiatives are transforming UBC Vancouver from a commuter campus into a vibrant, sustainable community where people can live, work and learn.

Housing + Neighbourhoods

On-campus neighbourhoods that are supported by a lively community atmosphere and a range of housing opportunities help to keep first-rate students, faculty and staff engaged at UBC.

Living at UBC

When you have the opportunity to live, work and learn on campus instead of commuting back and forth for hours each day, you can save time and shrink your carbon footprint.

Governance + Administration

Non-student residents are represented by the University Neighbourhoods Association, which maintains community infrastructure and services to promote the creation of a vibrant, sociable, safe and diverse UTown@UBC community.
