Transportation Consultation 2010
In March, we heard your ideas about where to locate permanent transit facilities on campus and how to improve pedestrian and cycling experiences (Phase One). Now, we’re back to report on how we used your ideas and present three options for your feedback (Phase Two).
All three options are feasible and under consideration. No final decisions have been made--we need to know how each option impacts your commute to and from campus AND the community.
Tell us what you think in person or online.

How did we get here?
We've put together key information in order to help ground the conversation.
In March 2010, we launched Phase One of Transportation Consultation 2010 to hear input from the community on the possible alternatives to an underground terminal. We also wanted to hear your ideas about how to improve infrastructure for getting around campus—on foot, by bike or other options.
A new diesel bus loop would be developed north of the War Memorial Gym with drop-off/loading bays.
There would be two facilities developed.
All diesel bus routes would have drop-off/loading bays along Wesbrook Mall between University Boulevard and Agronomy Road.
The UBC community will embrace cycling as an essential mode of transportation to, from and within the UBC Vancouver campus.
What happens with your feedback?
An Advisory Working Group, comprising students, staff, faculty, TransLink and external transportation experts, has participated in the process of incorporating community input and technical analysis into Options 1-3 presented to the campus community during Phase Two (September 14-30).
